BMAQUOGUE

QUOGUE
Developed in collaboration with celebrated interior designer Kelly Behun, Quogue is envisioned as a highly personal coastal retreat where architecture and interiors exist in complete dialogue. Set within the landscape of the Hamptons, the residence balances sculptural form, material richness, and natural light to create an environment that feels both sophisticated and deeply relaxed.

The architecture is organized around a series of interconnected spaces that frame views of the surrounding landscape while maintaining a strong sense of intimacy and warmth throughout the home. Expansive glazing, layered volumes, and carefully integrated outdoor living areas dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, allowing nature and atmosphere to become central components of the experience.

A restrained yet expressive material palette establishes a quiet elegance across the project. Natural stone, warm woods, soft textures, and finely detailed architectural elements create depth and tactility while reinforcing a sense of calm permanence. Throughout the residence, furniture, art, lighting, and architectural detailing were considered as part of a singular composition rather than separate disciplines.

The collaboration between architecture and interiors was fundamental to the project’s vision. Spatial proportion, light quality, and material transitions were approached holistically, resulting in a residence where every element feels intentional, cohesive, and deeply connected to the way the home is lived in.

Rather than relying on overt gestures, Quogue is defined by atmosphere, craftsmanship, and balance; a modern retreat that captures the effortless sophistication of coastal living through a seamless integration of architecture, interior design, and landscape.
