Designer (1-3 Years) - Hamptons
Requirements

PROJECT COORDINATOR
(3-7 Years) - Hamptons
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior staff and the firm’s principal while leading your respective project teams to develop and carry the design intent of multiple projects. A successful candidate must be highly motivated, organized and detail oriented with a passion for architecture.
Requirements

INTERIOR DESIGN
PROJECT COORDINATOR - MIAMI
Manages the firm’s resources (people, processes, and tools) and assignments with proficiency, fluency, and aptitude. Teaches and mentors staff and effectively embodies and expresses the firm’s values and mission.
The Project Coordinator will build and strengthen relationships through a comprehensive understanding and development of their project. Reports to and supports the Director of Interiors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates project team interaction both internally and with all other project participants.
- Collaborates on the design process including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, document preparation, material research and samples, construction administration and furnishings selections and purchases.
- Manages project meetings including scheduling, determining meeting purpose, preparing agendas, and meeting report and maintaining action items log on regular basis.
- Prepares and revises drawings, presentations and renderings as assigned under the direction of Design Director and Senior Advisors (i.e., interior plans, fixture plans, elevations, details)
- Communicates and coordinates with vendors and product manufacturer representatives.
- Designs custom millwork and furnishing concepts and visits vendor shops periodically to ensure design development. Able to review and redline shop drawings.
- Creates furnishing proposals and collaborates with procurement and tracking.
- Attends site visits, field verification and furniture test fit meetings as necessary.
- May assist with review of RFIs and submittals during the Construction Administration Phase.
- Participates in and contributes to team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Participates in business development and Interior Design events supporting the growth of the department and establishing contacts.
- Maintains knowledge of industry drivers, products, and materials available on the market.
Qualifications
- Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field,
- 4+ years of experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of resourcing, specifying, and ordering of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), tracking of orders, and scheduling of project installations.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to travel to showrooms, vendor shops, and client meetings.
- Sustainable design accreditation and on the path to NCIDQ certification are a plus.
Director of Miami Operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Management and Operations:
- Supervise Miami office staff and oversee daily project development.
- Manage the tracking of Miami office projects and report weekly to Senior Advisors on project status, staffing needs and deadlines.
- Attend weekly advisory meetings to report on Miami specific operations and to provide support for Senior Advisors as needed.
- Attend bi-weekly Upper Management meetings to participate in discussing current firm matters.
- Facilitate the scheduling of visits for BMA staff traveling to Miami area, including firm Partners and Upper Management.
- Encourage and facilitate teamwork and a positive work environment by identifying, addressing, and working to resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the office and across project teams.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for Miami clientele communications.
- Lead and/or support Miami client presentations and meetings.
- Maintain and cultivate Miami client relations and provide regular project specific updates.
- Assist in developing client confidence and long-term relationships.
Project Management and Production:
- Direct project team coordination & production tasks and ensure work is consistent with firm standards by means of frequent team check-ins.
- Continuously assess that design intent and local code adherence is being maintained throughout the course of projects by means of periodic pin-ups.
- Promote/expand/extrapolate design objectives set in place by Founding Partner and Design Director.
- Regularly communicate with Design and Technical Directors regarding Miami office projects and provide advance notice for design and documentation reviews.
- Review Miami office zoning analysis documents for local regulatory compliance. Represent the firm in local Design Review Board meetings and hearings as needed.
- Actively coordinate one high-profile/challenging project in the local market.
Human Resources
- Serve as a mentor for junior staff and participate in employee reviews and evaluations.
- Support immediate staff needs, and concerns pertaining to Miami operations/morale and elevate issues to Senior Advisors as needed.
- Ensure Miami staff adherence to Employee policies and procedures set forth in the BMA Employment manual.
- Participate in biannual staff performance reviews. Identify staff's strengths, weaknesses, and advancement capabilities.
- Participate in the hiring of new local staff by means of joining second interviews and leading Miami office visits/tours.
Business Development & Growth of the Firm
- Further own knowledge of best business development practices.
- Perform an ambassadorial role to assist in building the firm's network, brand, reputation, and profile.
- Build and maintain a professional directory/rolodex of local consultants, real estate agents, expeditors, attorneys, and industry leaders. Initiate and engage in frequent correspondence with these individuals.
- Actively seek and maintain opportunities for firm involvement and presence in the local community.
- Work in collaboration with Hampton's office on firm marketing campaigns and outreach. Participate in career fairs and academia recruitment.
Self-Development and Self-Leadership
- Registered Architect in the state of Florida or actively seeking registration.
- Seek local industry organizations and affiliations. (AJA Miami, MCAD, etc.
